Membership to this club is by purchase of a Members Club @ £1 per card per month. There is a cash prize draw each month and also one at 6 monthly intervals.

Bingo

Wednesday night is Bingo Night in the Church Hall from 8.00p.m to 10.00p.m immediately after the recitation of the rosary. It’s a popular social evening for parishioners and non-parishioners. Prizes depend on the amount taken on each evening. It is a bonus if anyone attending could offer a lift to other participants.

Catering and Coffee Mornings

On Sunday morning after the 10:00am Mass Tea and Coffee and Soft Drinks is served in the Parish Hall. On occasions a small team of people provide simple catering for special events.


Christmas Fayre

The Christmas Fayre is the main parish fundraiser of the year and is held in early December each year.

Family Parties

We have recently started having regular family parties, with a disco, karaoke, party games, and food. Keep you eye out for tickets as these events are limited, and tickets go very quickly.

The plan for 2008 was a Pancake Party at the beginning of Lent, a Summer Barbecue for Fathers' Day. The next event is a Scary party for Halloween.


Line Dancing

Line Dancing Sessions are held in the Parish Centre every Tuesday evening from 8pm to 10pm, with a special introduction for beginners at 7:30pm. Tuition is by Blanche and Pauline. Fee: Adults £4.00, Children (under 12) £2. First 4 weeks 1/2 price. Free Entry Draw and Raffle. All are welcome. So, come along and have some fun! Parish Library

The annex to the church hall houses a library consisting of a range of religious books. Feel free to browse through the books and borrow them if you wish. Enter your name in the borrowing book if you do so.

Senior Citizens Party

In January each year, we hold our annual Senior Citizens Party.

Walking Group

Each Thursday morning, the St. Catherine's Walking Group leaves from the Church at 10:30am. The walks are normally 2-3 miles, ending at a place for lunch at 12noon. Then a walk back, arriving back at the Church at approximately 2:30pm. You should be reasonable active to take part in these walks. Details of each walk are published in the weekly newsletter.

You are reminded to wear waterproof footwear or wellies, to carry a stick or hiking pole, and bring a small bottle of water and your travel pass.
