Child
Protection
The
Parish has two Child Protection Co-ordinators who
continually assess all the activities of the Parish to
ensure that they meet the best practice of Child
Protection. Our team also organise Criminal Records Checks
and personal references for all adults seeking to work with
children or vulnerable adults in the parish.
Communion to the
Sick
Catholics who are housebound due to serious illness or the
frailty of old age should receive Holy Communion every
week. A team of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
provide this service. Please contact the Parish Priest if
you know of someone who is housebound.
Hospital
Admission
If you know of a Catholic admitted to Hospital please
inform the Parish Priest and ask the staff to contact the
Hospital's Catholic Chaplain. Catholic Priests are
restricted by information legislation (the Data Protection
Act) and so have no way of knowing who the Catholics are in
hospital unless someone informs them.
If you are in hospital, you are entitled to Spiritual Care,
but you will only get it if you request it from the staff.
Please do not leave your requests to the last minute!
