Altar
Servers
Our dedicated team of altar servers are an essential
element of any liturgical service. Altar Serving is open to
both boys and girls who have completed their First Holy
Communion.
Altar Society
Each month the Parish holds a second collection towards the
costs of altar breads, wine and flowers for the sanctuary.
For many years now this collection has been co-ordinated by
Andrew Brownrigg.
Book of
Remembrance
In preparation for the Month of the Holy Souls in November,
the Parish invites parishioners to provide a list of all
the deceased members of their families and friends. From
these lists a Book of Remembrance is compiled to be placed
in the Church throughout the month of November. At every
Mass in November, all those whose names appear in the Book
of Remembrance are prayed for.
Children's Liturgists
Children's liturgy is an opportunity for children aged
between approximately 3 and 7 to hear the Gospel proclaimed
to them at a level that they can understand and appreciate.
The children gather with their parents in the Church for
the beginning of Mass, and should NOT go directly to the
Parish Hall where Children's liturgy takes place. Following
an opening prayer, they are then led in procession out of
the Church into the Parish Hall. They return to the Church
and rejoin their parents during the offertory procession.
Choir
(Sunday 10am)
The choir leads the congregation in the singing at Sunday
10.00a.m mass and also on major feast days. Volunteers are
urgently required as every voice lends a different
dimension to the music. Commitment to attend rehearsals is
essential.

Choir &
Music Group (Sunday 6pm)
The Choir and Music Group for the 6pm Mass were formed in
the Summer of 2009. They sing contemporary songs from
various Christian traditions, including the best of the new
worship songs of the Evangelical traditions. New members
are always welcome, and we are looking for singers of all
abilities and also musicians to create a well rounded
Worship Band. The group practices twice a week in the
Church, on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 8pm, and on Sundays
from 4:30pm to 5:45pm.
The Choir & Music Group have a “members only” facebook
group which is used to co-ordinate their practices,
repertoire and other activities. This makes it very easy
for busy people to participate in this group.

The ecumenical representative is the co-ordinator between
the Christian churches in the local area. He/she attends
one or two meetings each year to discuss such events as

Ministers of Holy Communion
Ministers of Holy Communion are required to help with the
distribution of the Sacred Host and Precious Blood at Mass.
Ministers of Holy Communion are also encouraged to take on
the bringing of Holy Communion to the sick and housebound.
Organist
We currently are blessed with two organists who accompany
the choir at the Sunday 10am Mass, they are Alex Yap and
David Garrido . If you can play a keyboard, or are an
organist you would be most welcome to assist in this
important ministry. The organist chooses the music for each
service in conjunction with Fr Peter.
For special events, weddings and funerals, we have access
to a wider selection of professional and semi-professional
organists from the surrounding parishes.

Welcomers
When parishioners and in particular visitors arrive at the
Church, the first person who greets them is our welcomers.
They ensure that everyone is encouraged to take a Hymn
Book; Mass Book; and Parish Newsletter. They can also
advise on disability access to the Church.
Women's
World Day of Prayer Co-Ordinator
Each year the parish fully participates in the Women's
World Day of Prayer, which is a major ecumenical activity
in the local area. In 2008 the Parish hosted the day of
prayer, and welcomed representatives from all the local
Church and denominations, as well as representatives from
the local community, such as the Mayor of Kingston.
